Aegis School of Data Science, established in 2002 with support from Bharti Airtel, was founded to address a critical question: How do we create Renaissance Leaders who can navigate and innovate in a rapidly changing world? What began as a vision to develop cross-functional technology leaders has now evolved into one of India’s pioneering institutions for futuristic education in technology and management.

Originally launched in Indore, Aegis became India’s first institution to offer a Master’s in Telecommunication Management (MPTM). In 2005, Aegis shifted its campus to Mumbai, India’s financial hub, further cementing its position as a leader in telecom and technology education.

In 2015, Aegis partnered with IBM to launch India’s first Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Data Science, Business Analytics, and Big Data—a program jointly certified and delivered with IBM experts. Since then, Aegis has successfully graduated over 50 batches (full-time and weekend), with alumni leading AI, analytics, and machine learning initiatives across 500+ enterprises and startups. Today, Aegis is a recognized leader in education and applied research across Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, Data Science, Business Analytics, and Machine Learning. Aegis also runs joint programs in Data Science and AI in collaboration with prominent academic institutions across India, including Vishwaniketan, Indala Group of Institutes, and several others—bringing industry-aligned, cutting-edge curriculum and global exposure to campuses across the country.
